The International School of Asia and the Pacific (ISAP) is exploring a strategic collaboration with Huawei Philippines to expand industry-based learning opportunities and provide students and faculty with access to globally recognized information and communications technology (ICT) certifications. The initiative was discussed during a courtesy visit by ISAP administrators to Huawei Philippines on July 13, 2026, marking a significant step toward strengthening industry-academe partnerships in technology education.

Among the key areas of discussion was the proposed student immersion program, which will enable College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) students to complete their on-the-job training (OJT) at Huawei Philippines. Both institutions also explored opportunities for micro-credentialing and internationally recognized ICT certification programs, equipping students with industry-valued competencies while providing faculty members with specialized training and professional development aligned with emerging technological advancements.

As discussions move toward formalizing the collaboration, Huawei Philippines is expected to conduct a reciprocal visit to the ISAP campus in September 2026. Once finalized, the partnership is expected to strengthen ISAP’s technology education programs by bridging academic instruction with industry practice, enhancing graduate employability, and preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the global digital workforce.
