As an active PACU member and a sitting member of its Committee on Policy Making, Industry Linkages, and Legal Committee, Dr. Guzman emphasized MCNP and ISAP’s commitment to advancing PACU’s mission of strengthening private higher education through policy advocacy, academic innovation, and industry partnerships.

The event brought together presidents and school leaders from across the country for a dialogue on the challenges and opportunities in private higher education. It featured special video messages from Hon. Paolo Benigno “Bam” A. Aquino IV, Senate Committee Chair on Basic Education, Arts and Culture, and Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis, Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Key sessions included presentations by Dr. Karol Mark R. Yee of EDCOM 2 on the Philippine National Education and Workforce Development Plan, Atty. Joseph Noel M. Estrada of COCOPEA on academic freedom and regulation, and Dr. Rhodora Angela F. Ferrer of PEAC on program updates. Dr. Edizon A. Fermin of the National Teachers College also delivered a keynote lecture on higher education leadership in the BANI world.

Dr. Guzman’s participation reaffirmed MCNP and ISAP’s active role in national discussions on higher education reforms and their support for PACU’s advocacy for academic excellence, institutional resilience, and stronger industry linkages.
