Peรฑablanca, Cagayan โ The Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology Region II (DOST II) through the Cagayan Valley Health Research and Development Consortium (CVHRDC), is currently holding the Training on Research Methodologies for Policy Making, Management Case, and Innovation Research at MCNP today, October 2, 2025.
This two-day training (October 2โ3, 2025) aims to strengthen participantsโ skills in applying health research methodologies for policy and practice, crafting evidence-based proposals, and integrating innovation to address health system needs.

In his message, Dr. Christian R. Guzman, President, thanked DOST II and CVHRDC for the collaboration and highlighted the importance of government-academe-research partnerships in creating innovative, evidence-based solutions that uplift communities.

Representing DOST II Regional Director and CVHRDC Chairperson Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera, Dr. Racquel Santos, Senior Science Research Specialist, also conveyed support, stressing the need to translate evidence into meaningful action for better policies and practices.



Resource persons for the sessions include Dr. Bryan M. Nozaleda of CSU-Carig (Health Research Methodologies), Dr. Emerson G. Aluswag of St. Dominic College of Asia (Case Management Research and Innovation in Health Systems), and Dr. Julius T. Capili, CVHRDC Executive Director (Policy Making in Research).
This ongoing activity reflects the shared vision of MCNP and DOST-CVHRDC to strengthen research, innovation, and evidence-based policy making for improved health systems in the Cagayan Valley.
